Thanks to a fantastic partnership between TM&C, Brake Meals & More, and Whitby Seafoods, we were able to stretch the M&M funding to cover 2 Big Days Out. Both were beach visits to Saltburn-by-the-Sea, one for children and families from Redcar & Cleveland, hosted by Hope 4 East Cleveland on 1st August; and the second, hosted by Caldicotes Primary Academy, for children and families from Middlesbrough on the 23rd of August. With Whitby Seafoods providing 100 fabulous healthy hot meals from their famous Scampi Camper, we were able to use the M&M funding to provide return transport from convenient pickup locations, with enough left over to pay for every child to have an ice cream. Whitby Seafoods even provided age-appropriate goody bags for every child including fun stuff like a stick of Whitby Rock, sunglasses, a beach ball and a water pistol – we think they may have regretted that last one! This meant all the families could enjoy a full day at the beach with no worries about cost.
