10 Years of Feeding Young Futures: An Evening of Celebration

It’s been a whole month (we still can’t quite believe it!) since Meals & More came together for a special anniversary dinner, an event held as part of our year-long celebration of 10 years supporting children and families through school holidays. It brought people together to reflect on a decade of dedication, partnership, and community spirit.

Our anniversary dinner was more than a celebration, it was a moment to look back on the thousands of children who have received healthy meals, enriching activities, and a safe place to belong during the school breaks that can be hardest for families. It was a moment to thank the partners, supporters, volunteers, and local organisations who make this work possible. And it was a moment to look ahead with renewed ambition and energy.

A Decade of Impact

Over the past 10 years, Meals & More has grown from a small initiative into a national movement, connecting with community partners across the UK to ensure children can access good food and positive experiences outside term time.

Throughout the evening, guests heard stories from holiday clubs; stories filled with passion, care, and commitment. These are the people and places we are privileged to work alongside. Together, we reflected on the thousands of parents who have shared how holiday clubs have helped them and gave their children joy, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Introducing Our New Mission

Our anniversary year also marks a key moment for Meals & More’s future, as we proudly shared our bold new mission:

To support the provision of 1 million meals a year by 2030.

This ambitious goal builds on everything we’ve learned over the past decade and the strength of our partnerships and community networks. It recognises the growing need across the UK and our determination to continue being a catalyst for meaningful change.

Looking Forward Together

The evening was filled with warmth, gratitude, and hope. From heartfelt speeches to connections made around the table, one message was clear: we achieve more when we work together.

The next chapter of Meals & More is one we will write collectively with local clubs, corporate supporters, families, volunteers, and everyone who believes that no child should miss out just because school is closed.
