Double the Joy
this Christmas

Meals & Joy Logo.png

This December, you can help bring Meals & Joy to children facing food insecurity during the school holidays.

Between 2nd – 9th December, every donation made through the Big Give Christmas Challenge will be doubled, creating twice the impact for children and families who need it most.

How you can get involved:

  • Donate: Every pound you give will be matched, turning £10 into £20, turning 1 meal into 2.

  • Fundraise: Host a festive bake sale, host a Christmas jumper day or a sponsored challenge to raise vital funds.

  • Business Giving: Make a one-off donation or match your team’s fundraising efforts to help bring double the meals & double the joy.

  • Spread the Word: It only takes a moment to make a difference. Tell a friend, share a post, or mention us at work. Every small gesture helps us reach more children.

Together, we can bring warmth, nourishment and festive cheer to children who might otherwise go without.

Let’s fill this holiday season with meals & joy, because every child deserves both.

Why It Matters

Meals & More is proud to take part in The Big Give,
the UK’s largest match-funding campaign. For one week only, donations made via the Big Give website will be matched, helping us reach more of the 2.2 million children in the UK regularly experiencing food insecurity.

Give once – feed twice.

Our fundraising goal is £37,500 in online donations, which, when matched, becomes £75,000:
  • £7,500 – will go to a selected group of delivery partners to purchase winter gloves for the children

  • £67,500 – will go directly to our 60 delivery partners to fund food and activities at 400 clubs

Arrange your fundraiser today to unlock match funding for children who need it most.

Why Get Involved?

At Meals & More, we believe no child should go hungry, especially not during the school holidays, when free school meals vanish and hardship quietly rises.

In 2024, we supported over 35,000 children across 390 clubs — but with rising need, we aim to reach even more in 2025.

We work with community organisations across the UK to offer:
  • Healthy meals
  • Holiday clubs
  • Safe, supportive spaces
  • Fun, enriching activities
Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of businesses, supporters, and partners like you.

During this week, donations can make double the impact thanks to match funding.

Important: Only donations made via our Christmas Challenge campaign page on BigGive.org (12 pm, 2nd Dec – 12 pm, 9th Dec) will be doubled. Donations made elsewhere or offline (e.g., cheques, CAF payments, other websites) cannot be match funded.

There are three simple ways to give:

Credit or Debit Card

Donating by card is quick and easy:

  1. Visit our Big Give campaign page between 2nd–9th December.

  2. Click the Donate button and complete the donation form with your card details — no account needed.

You can donate from £1 up to £25,000, and payments are compatible with Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Pay by Bank

Pay by Bank lets you donate securely through your banking app, without using a card.

  • Select Pay by Bank at step 3 of the donation form and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • You can donate from £1 up to £10,000.

  • Fees are the same as standard UK debit card fees.

Find out more about how Pay by Bank works here.

Donation Funds (BACS Donations)

For donors giving £500 or more, you can donate via bank transfer (BACS) using Big Give’s secure Donation Funds system.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Set up a Big Give donor account and complete a short form confirming your intended donation.

  2. You’ll receive unique bank details to transfer your funds.

  3. Once received, your account will be credited with the equivalent amount in Donation Funds.

  4. During campaign week, log in to the Big Give campaign page and complete your donation using your Donation Funds.

⚠️ Please note: The initial bank transfer alone does not count as the donation you must complete the donation through the campaign page for it to qualify for match funding.
