I have been volunteering in similar initiatives for several years now — when you see how eagerly children await these hot meals during the holidays, your heart swells with gratitude. The Meals & More partnership with Sysco Ireland is a real step toward not only feeding 14,000 people, but also giving them a sense of care and normality in difficult times. After such distributions, we always have a lot of food waste left over, and I realized that if we organize disposal properly, we can reduce our environmental footprint without hurting our budget. That's why I switched to a commercial waste service — the prices are reasonable, and they sort food and packaging without any hassle. Now, after each event, I feel that everything has been done conscientiously — both for the children and for the planet.
